After lots of nagging from FF, I recently updated it from v28 to the latest v36 offering. I've been reluctant to do this update because imo, the new version UI looked too much like the Chrome browser what with that new menu button and the all singing and dancing Awesome bar thingy. But I obviously wasn't the only one that wasn't happy, 'cos they toot sweet brought out that 'Classic Theme Restorer' addon. So, after a bit of investigation I decided to take the plunge. To be honest, the default UI for v36 is sodding horrible, damned if I could see where were many of the toolbar buttons that I wanted and the menu bar was missing too. However, that addon saves the day, in fact in some ways it's better than the old UI now 'cos that addon has loads of tweaks. After mucho tweaking, I've settled on this >

I get the FF thing but for me IE has been the one I've used for years, if the new MS one is better I can't wait to give it a go, and if its faster like Kings says then so much the better, bring it on.

Exactly, I hear you. Love Firefox, like I said was using cyberfox, but now using waterfox, it is a bit more stable, looks like firefox, but is 64bit. They would have to bring out some substantial for anyone to change, but my browser will stay as it is, firefox based.

Thanks Peter, what I'm gathering it will be free for the first year to upgrade from 7 with sp1 and 8.1but manufactures will have to buy it to put on a clean machine. I'm going to put it on the lappy and see how it goes its out on July 29th. Will see what it thinks of my windows 7.

Taking it at it's plain English value the above seems to say it's free full stop. But there again what the hell does lifetime of the platform mean? If the trains stop using the platform is M/S going to start charging everybody for Window's 10?
