I think 10 is still "Work In Progress" and they have a few Gremlins to sort out.

There seems to be a few complaints about things not working and things going missing that should be there, but it hasn't been up and running long really,so we'll have to wait and see how things progress.

Since I went to 10 and a scan with SAS it shows over 1000 tracking cookies, on 7 it wasn't over 100, what's going on?

Well folks, I finally relented and bought a lappy. Luckily its come with windows 10 pre-installed saw a deal late yesterday afternoon at our local argos. Went out and brought home a 15.6in Toshiba lappy, which apart from a 2core processer on the lappy whereas my desktop is 4 core, its the same spec. Just set it up this afternoon and now working out what to put on it. Win 10 certainly I have found to be far superior than anything that micro$oft have made in the past.

It's very good Dinks once you have got to grips with it, they still have a few gremlins to sort out before it is a finished product.

Yep it does seem better Dinky but like Geoff says its work in progress I think, the edge has some bits to come.

I accepted the free W10 upgrade on my works lappie that I rescued from the skip due to a fixed disk boot sector corruption. I've been hanging on from upgrading the desktop because it runs so sweet. I think nob told me July 29th is the freebie deadline so I guess it'll be upgraded shortly before then. I'm not that enamoured with W10, but I haven't used it much. I guess I'm not into square wheels because by and large it all seems to be there, just that you need a new map to find everything.

Yep it does seem better Dinky but like Geoff says its work in progress I think, the edge has some bits to come. I think maybe they should have delayed the launch for about 6 months to iron out some of the rough edges, a lot of folks had major issues during the first couple of months. I've been using it since day 2 of the release and the only problem i had was it not updating and that seemed to sort itself out after a couple of weeks, tbh i am highly satisfied with W 10
