So why do you have to supply a name and address when you buy a telly, is it a con. So that it can be delivered to your house, otherwise you don't. Not anymore anyway! Even picked up you need to supply a name and address. Got a 21 inch from Tesco and had to fill a form in.

Hmmmmm, are you sure about that Nob, did you tell them that you didn't want to give that info? Nob....go to > www.tvlicensing.co.uk/faqs/FAQ142/ Click any links for info, then try this one > "Why does a TV Dealer need to notify you of all sales and rentals?"

Never thought of saying I'm not saying, but come to think of it Amazon never asked when I got the big telly, I assumed they knew the address. So you don't need to tell them.

Well how would they know that it's your address. I could give them my son's address, he has a tv and a tv license. Then I could pick the tv up from there! Anyway...somewhere on the web, I recently read that a retailer is no longer required by law to pass an address on to the licensing authorities. Another triumph for on-line retailing I presume!

Another kick in the nuts for the BBC cos I begrudge every penny of the licence money.
