So, I've been back to take a further look at this little b/t speaker. This time I tried the demo one which is connected to a music source. WOW!...it is quite amazing the sound that comes from this little thing, in fact as I was messing with it, I think I may have got them a couple of more sales for it. It attracted several couples to stroll over and take a look and listen to it. So, mind made up! Next week I shall rock up to J.Lewis armed with my trusty credit card, and spoil myself with one of these.....'cos I deserve it!

So, further to the 'remote' and WMC After I set all this up, I got up the next morning and my puter was turned on. Nothing on the screen but the power light was on! "Funny I thought, could have sworn that I switched it off before going to bed!" Same thing next day, but this time I damned well knew I'd switched it off 'cos I made a 'point' of doing it. Turned it off again. Went into the kitchen to make a cuppa, came back into sitting room and the damned thing is turned on again! Damn and blast (or similar) thinks I. Pressed the power button and just caught a fleeting glimpse of a taskbar icon with a message like.." if you switch off now your recording will be" That's when the penny began to drop. Opened WMC...looked in "Recorded Programs" and there was about 170 of them, all Sky News, which rolls over every 20mins. It seems that when I was pressing all of those buttons on the remote, to find out how it works I'd pressed to record all episodes of Sky News. A few more days and my HDD would have been full, and I'd have been left wondering wtf was going on! A little knowledge is indeed a dangerous thing!

Speak for yourself JJ From my bestest pal too, after all that I've done for him. OK ratarse just produce the list. It doesn't necessarily have to be alphabetical order.

Ok, I shall now return this thread to where it was before the attempted 'Smudgering' Anyway, I was informed by Shag that he'd popped into J.Lewis's store to check out that Bose mini b/t speaker. He told me that there were only 3 of them left. Panic mode was activated! This morning I dashed up there Bradley Wiggins style to claim my prize. I could only see 2 of them plus the demo model. A couple were with the assistant who was showing them how to pair their Ifone to the demo one. I snatched one of the boxes off the shelf, rocked up to the pay desk and coughed up my credit card. Set it up this afternoon and paired it to my desktop, which 'discovered' the speaker instantly. Well to be honest, the sound from the on board desktop speakers isn't half bad at all, but what a difference this makes! The sound from this Bose is loud, clear, rich and the base is excellent. My neighbors were so impressed, they were banging on the wall in appreciation. And here she sits.

Nice, what software comes with it? No softwear Nob, it's just plug and play! It is strange though, getting used to a different sound coming from the puter, even though that sound is a lot nicer!

It takes some getting used to. It was strange with the soundbar getting the subwoofer in the right place its ended up at the side of the telly it didn't work anywhere else in the room. But when bass plays on any music its a great sound.

Frankly, I can't see what all the fuss is about...I hardly ever switch the sound on when using the puter. If I need to watch a dvd or film I use the TV.
