Think I've got W10 about customized to how I want just a couple more tweaks to sort out, it has took some shagging about to get it to look right. I do think it is more user friendly than W8 but I don't like the tiles that are combined in the new start menu. The new "Edge" browser is very fast but I don't like the looks of it and I will stick to my trusty FF.

Hmmm...personally I don't like a tiled screen on a PC or a laptop, it's ok for a smartfone or tablet, but that's about it! Just my opinion of course.

I installed it via downloaded iso file which I burned to disk, installed it, would not accept my product key, so skipped it and had a view again of it, liked it, but it refused to activate on several occasions, you know it would, then next day had to do it again etc... So decided to restore a back up, which it would not, so had to use windows 8.1 disk to format the drive and put a fresh copy of windows 8.1. This time went through the process via windows update and it worked this time and is activated, but my problem is, how do I get the product key for windows 10, so that if in future I want to put a clean install onto the drive, and maybe it won't accept the product key and have to do all this again, any ideas, gone round in circles over and over guys.

I'm guessing that the product key that you first tried was from am OEM (original equipment manufacturer) installation. I don't expect that will work for a new W10 installation. However, I'm guessing again now, but if you have successfully installed W10 via windows update, then the update process has probably upgraded your existing product key to make it compatible with the new o/s. Just saying!
