Update:
Sorry for the delay.
I'm sure one of the other members will be able to help you.
As soon as I'm able to (I can't at the moment), I'll move this thread into the Windows section instead.
Hopefully, someone will be able to offer you some suggestions for your problem soon.

I have no experience with W10 disc installs but I assume that there is an option to "update" rather than clean install as the disc installation proceeds? I downloaded an iso file from the M$ website and purchased a key (!) from eBay, but I elected to go with the online M$ "update" route instead. Just make certain to select the <update> option because it deploys the W7 product key and migrates the WPA at the same time. This will preserve your programs although there's no guarantee that they'll still work without their own individual updates too.
There's a method on a thread somewhere on here that I used witbout any issues on three W7 devices, and my B-I-L followed this route successfully too with his laptop. I have (I believe with justification) been critical of Microsoft in the past, but although it is hardly representative on the grand scale of things, that seems to have changed for the better with W10.
Ordinarily I would never counsel a Redmond update from one OS to another, but I've had good experiences with this process. This is a long way from being the "expert" advice referred to, just what has worked for me.

What I would say is, make sure you use a backup program such as AOMEI Backupper Standard beforehand, make sure all your data (Docs, Pics etcetera) are backed up first to an external hard drive (I doubt System Restore would be able to help you if something goes wrong).
Also, ensure you write down details of all the programs you use, including license keys (just in case you need to reinstall).
