They are tipping Boris but some say the favourite never wins. My choice would be Steve Baker.

I also like Steve Baker, and I was impressed by the current Brexit Minister--Barclay. The most intelligent of them all to my mind is Gove.He has done a good job in all the ministerial posts he has held to date.He was also intuitive enough to see through blustering Boris !!

Let us just hope that it is someone with a BACKBONE! Which is usually lacking in the house of muppets.

I haven't made my mind up yet re who I shall give my highly prized support to. It deffo will not be Gove,,, I have reached the conclusion that Gove is one of those very valuable people that can be given almost any job and be relied on to make a good fist of it. Any job except the top job. Anyway, with a fair wind and a bit of luck, whoever takes it will just be keeping the seat warm for a PROPER "Make Britain Great Again" party leader.

Spot on,Rats, although I don't think that the original "Make Great Again" Donald will have room in his diary for the PM 's job, even though he's likely to get the boot in the 2020 elections!! The most interesting thing that I'm looking forward to,is what they do about Nige. Do they try to get him onside, with a quick Brexit resolution,or hope that support will wane with time? Or will they do what usually happens with major problems.........pretend that it isn't happening.

What's Rudd's game, saying she'll back Boris and hes said he'll leave with no deal. Seems like there's a lot of Julius Caeser similies around now....the one for Rudd could be... There is a tide in the affairs of men, Which taken at the flood, leads on to fortune. Omitted, all the voyage of their life is bound in shallows and in miseries. On such a full sea are we now afloat. And we must take the current when it serves, or lose our ventures. In other words, try to back the winner in the hope of a good job!

But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.” " True then, true now!

What a great analogy!! Eight,so far, including the backstabber. Might be easier to list who isn't standing! As has been said before,by myself and others,I reckon that this is only a caretaker job,to get through Brexit, and then win (??) the next election. Beware of Nige, if they don't bring him on board somehow. There'll be quite a few MEPs out of work come October and looking for an opening.

Hmmm.... I is still athinking on it. To be fair, it matters little to me who is actually Captaining this particular Titanic, IMO the sodding thing is still heading for the Nigeberg and and the dopey band are still playing. Yer boy of course, abandoned that particular ship years ago! But anyway, the only person that has so far impressed me is the fella Steve Baker, he at least has stayed staunch throughout this whole shambles, unlike Boris and Raab who have both had a wobble.
