And so this thread comes to an end,for now.....with a fitting tribute from egg. I predict that it will be needed again this side of Christmas.

In deciding upon a safe pair of hands, a geriatric confirmed Europhile is better than a lifelong confirmed Eurosceptic to guide us through the choppy waters of Brexit for no better reason than their respective embedded political agendas?
I am weary of that schoolyard "my dad can beat your dad up" rhetoric.
The Tories tried the "safe-hands" approach with remainer Theresa May and look how that mapped out. Since you don't actually need to have a seat to lead a government, why not invite Cameron in to sort out the trail of mess? Couldn't be any worse could it? None of the wanna-bees or has-beens have the political backing to achieve a result one way or another. I suppose it's to be expected with a 52:48 vote? Government of national unity my a*5e. We have become a laughing stock.
Whatever his deliberately cultivated buffoonery, I personally feel that Boris has the only sane approach to the bully boy tactics from across the channel. Whether a massive gamble is the right thing is anyone's guess but at least he is willing to concede that Europe has as much to lose as we do rather than the erstwhile "tail between the legs" gambit.
The same folks that go on and on about the elected and unelected representative houses subverting "the will of the people" quietly ignore the fact that they also lobbied long and hard to ensure that it was a straightforward in or out / yes or no on the ballot papers. It was held that hoi-poloi shouldn't be allowed to mull over obfuscating if/then options, or in other words the plebs are too thick to debate the hidden agendas. However, they will then tell you that elected MPs have no right override the will of the people on the misguided assumption that we don't have minds of our own. Would that be because all of a sudden those thickos have undergone a Damascine conversion?
I've just been brought a beer. Probably just as well ;<D

Time to resurrect this thread in time for Friday the 13th. (You could say that it's been a horror film so far)
I would say that Boris will have the most seats, but not a clear ( or usable) majority.

They say Corbyn will go and McDonnell will take over and Long- Bailey will become shadow chancellor till they can sort a new leader out if as they think the Tories will get the best vote since Thatcher.

If that result comes true,Nige must be clairvoyant knowing not to go for a seat, and changing the name of the party.... again!
BBC Wales are here today with a prediction of the Ynys Mon result....and all the candidates. Its a Labour marginal with a high leave percentage. Further details later.

Update on the above The usual woffle, non commitment, and trying not to drop a clanger! Would I be alone in thinking that one of the candidates had the best time of it,and that person was an ex BBC reporter?? Or maybe that's just me being an old cynic, who knew the facts.

I can categorically state that Boris will be the PM on Friday. Unless or until he has to visit the queen to offer his resignation.
