Have you changed the password as suggested. Yes Nob, I have followed all the instructions from BT and gone through my account. There did not seem to be anything out of the norm but I did change my password, I have run all the scans and cleaned the PC. I am a bit reluctant to run Ccleaner as it strips the PC of everything including programmes. Do you think I ought to change the password on my TalkTalk acc. Roy

Roy you don't mention which email client your using, I see live mail in the returned mail but you say yahoo which is web based but can be set to use live mail the sent mails don't show in the sent folder on your PC, have you anything in any folders of your online mail, what you need to determine is the computer sending them or a hacker of your mail.

Roy, With the BT account that I have (infinity), they supply a version of McAfee. What AV and anti-spyware are you using?

My service provider is TalkTalk, I have a TalkTalk email address, BUT I always use my old BT email address to send and retrieve emails. Ratae, Should or would it be a good idea then to run cleaner?? I am asking because I am the worlds biggest thicko when it comes to computering, as far as I`m concerned its just a way of communicating. Roy

Hi Dinky, I have been using VIPRE www.vipreantivirus.com/It does scans every week supposedly and restarts the PC automatically. But having said that I still have to do a scan with Antispyware now and again and that supposedly finds viruses to delete.

I use the McAfee supplied by BT along with spybot and c cleaner and malware bytes as backup, like c cleaner malware bytes erases a lot of stuff sometimes stuff you want to keep, thats why I only use them in an emergency but they work .

Roy, I doubt very much that running Ccleaner will solve your particular problem, on the other hand,it won't hurt either. Run it with the default settings and see.

I hear what you are saying Ratae, but my arse is going `Halfcrown/Sixpence` at the thought of it. Last time I ran Ccleaner I had to go and install some things again that I use. Perhaps if my PC is still sending out bogus emails now that I have changed my password I will run it. Roy

I have had a few security programmes in the past, some I have paid for some that were free. This Vipre was installed by a PC repair guy, and said it one of the best around and he uses it and recommends it, and this is licenced for the life of this PC. Now in all fairness, it flashes up that its stopping an infected programme when I try to download them. I am probably the worst offender, because I probably don`t take enough notice of what crap is carried on the backs of these downloads when I invite them in. Roy

Roy Roy, running the 'Cleaner' option in the Ccleaner program should not remove any programs, the 'uninstall' option in the 'Tools' section is the one that is used to remove programs. If you want to run Ccleaner, open the program and from the menu at the left of the screen, just click the 'Cleaner' button.
