he should be setting an example to those he prosecutes in his line of work. Dinky as an ex copper you now make me understand why the Police Force is held in such low esteem. When did you last see a solicitor prosecute anybody in a criminal court? The CPS, crown prosecution service, brings cases, prosecutes, certain individuals or organisations that it believes are breaking the law. Should that happen they instruct one of their retained barristers to mount a prosecution case against that defendant. In a criminal court defendants use a solicitor to instruct a barrister to form a court defence against the CPS charges. Dinky nowhere in the proceedings of a Criminal Court does a solicitor prosecute. Solicitor who mentioned that. He's a Barrister isn't English your first language, you never know these days I hear so many different ones.

Poor old Smudger, he thinks that a chorister composes the music too! Bestest friend trying to become the biggest pain in the ass friend, Choristers sing and usually don't compose. Still what's the point of taking this any further?

Now, the CPS is staffed by yes you guessed it "solicitors". They prosecute in the magistrates court, very rarely is a "barrister" used in that court but not unknown. If the case is of such severity or the magistrates consider that they can not impose sufficient penalty they refer it to the "crown court" where barristers are instructed by the CPS and the defence. It is not the job for the police to prosecute anyone and never has been, it is their job to put offenders before the court and present evidence to back up the arrest or summons. By babbling his late night potcheen addled ramblings and trying to bait me, he just shows his total ignorance of the legal system in this country or is it different over there.

Point taken Dinky so I erred and I apologise and for the record courts in England, Scotland and N Ireland follow the same legal principle, what the Taffs do is governed by shepards with wire Wellington boots. Dinky I thought you ignored my posts as you frequently state but you only ignore the ones you have no satisfactory answer for so I'll ask again could you please post some links to all these politicians, mainly Cameron, you accuse of telling lies.

Bestest pal the last line in your link just about explains why everything Cameron has said about what will happen over the last 5 years are just that and not lies For his 5 years as PM he has not had a majority party government so he has not had the power in the Commons to enact the Tory party manifesto so this inability is a Parliament problem and definitely not Cameron lying. By not doing what he intends to do owing to lack of votes in the Commons is not lying it is just a matter of circumstances not working for him.

I like the one where that part time Yank copper killed that guy saying he mistook the gun for his Taser. What amazed me was that the copper was 70yrs old. I mean, giving someone that age a gun and badge is just asking for trouble innit. Hmmmm, there's some old gits I could think of that would like the chance to blow away certain people innit! Let's face it, copping a life sentence to some angry diabetic asthmatic old goats, ain't exactly gonna seem to be a bad way to spend their autumn years issit? Hmmmmm, where do yer sign up? A friend wants to know like!
