Just watched that little English girl(Zoe Smith) win gold in the 58kg weightlifting class and a new games record to as well.The Welsh girl got bronze and the Nigerian(who was one of the most miserable competitors I have ever seen) win the silver.
Also well done the Scottish pair on the tandem,another gold for them and also gold for England in the new mixed team triathlon.

Yep, watched young Zoe lift those weights, amazing effort. That Jocko tandem pair owned the Aussies, went by them in a breeze. Mind you, the muscles on the Jocko pilot rider  |

Phil we come from different perspectives, If I was Zoe Smith's father the last thing I'd want is a "pretty" daughter trying to become a muscle bound daughter. I'd encourage her to mix socially and the "white knight" might be round the next corner. |

Damned if I know Phil, I'm not sure that he really knows himself. Anyway, if he was young Miss Smith's father, then Miss Smith would definitely have a different skin tone, as her Ma is a white lady!

Harrumph.....back to the games!  England beaten by Samoa in the rugby sevens. Only by one point, but imo England didn't deserve to win 'cos they were way to slow to the breakdown. Fat Al won't be happy watching this, an Ibrox crowd cheering for both the England and Wales rugby teams. Stadium must be full of unionists! |

Scotland beaten by the Saffas 35-12 Actually the Jockos staged a bit of a comeback in the second period, but the Saffas were just too good. That's all of the home nations out of the medals now!  However, sevens rugby is being included in the Olympics in Rio, I reckon it will prove to be a popular addition.  |

First time ever All Blacks have been beaten in 7s at the CG....It had to happen sometime.
Some good efforts in the pool tonight but still well behind the Aussies.

Some cracking results for the English tonight..more boxing golds,gold in 4 x 400 mens relay,Gold in 10m diving(see that young un in it,only 14,looks a right prospect)
Chucked the Gold away in the womens hockey final,let the Aussies equalise with 11 seconds left then made a right bollox of the penalty shoot out.
Top of the medals table and also won more medals than any other country in the athletics stadium.
