Hasn't Bill enough cash. :-/ How long have you been getting the nags nob? Windows Mail is configured for use on my banking lappy but I won't miss it for a moment. Although I only ever boot that machine to transfer cash, I've not encountered any Redmond nudges. So long as we can uninstall Windows Mail it'll be something like "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.'

All this year Steve and maybe longer, I've turned it on but it didn't support my POP mail accounts so went back, but now it does so I'm giving it a go.

I changed over to it ages ago nob because it said I'd have to eventually. I use G mail mostly but TBH there's nothing to choose between them. Nothing's like the old Outlook Express. Just as nothing's like Microsoft XP

Yep I'll go along with that G I liked Outlook express, just tried to save an email to a desktop folder. It didn't work, so its not as easy as windows mail, that worked. To save emails in the new version of Outlook, follow these steps: Open the email you want to save. Click on the three dots (ellipsis) located at the top-right corner of the email. From the menu that appears, select “Save”. The email will be saved as a document in your Downloads folder. Navigate to your Documents folder, locate the saved file, and drag it into a folder of your choice. Remember that the new Outlook is still a work in progress, and some features may not be fully functional yet. If you encounter any issues, you can switch back to the classic Outlook by clicking the toggle button in the top-right corner of the window12. Nope, that doesn't work for me. I cant open the emails in the downloads folder. It opens with Firefox but not the new outlook??

I'm still using Eudora Mail on Windows 10. I have used it since Windows 98. I got it free on a magazine cover disk full of shovelware.

The mail that comes with 11 was fine Steve but they have to make you change. This outlook has adverts and Mozilla Thunderbird wants money. Guess I'll have to stick with the work in progress. Nope went back its just annoying to not be able to open mail saved outside Outlook.

Yep. Windows Mail is history on my banking lappy. I just jog on over to gMail instead. The onliest hitch is that I could print eMails from Windows Mail, but it makes a pig's ear of it printing online from gMail. They force Windows Mail onto your PC then they withdraw it. If you need a reminder that Windows is designated as "a service" now rather than an OS, this is it.
On a happier note, I am amused when I survey all the rain gutter gardening that my neighbours seem to have taken up with. Perhaps it's a new hobby?
