Hi Dinky You retired the same year as I did 1993 Yep retired from the police 1993 did not be eligible for my state pension until 2015, in that time various jobs and many scraps with the Department Of Wanchors and Persecution. One time the sent me a giro for 3pence I took great pleasure in telling them they could put that where the sun don't shine.

On Match of the Day a Chelsea player said they would like Leicester to win the Premier League and not Tottenham , so that sounds like if Chelsea lose to Spurs tomorrow night Leicester will beat Chelsea to win the League as that's the way Chelsea would like it to be.

Speaking as an erstwhile armchair supporter of the Hot Spurs ever since I was forced into it by a schoolmate(!), I would of course love "my team' to win, but equally I would be happy to see Leicester win because of the low budget- teamwork based- "come from nowhere" approach. That and an Englishman's instinctive protective nature for the perceived underdog- David and Goliath if you will. Go Leicester City!

JJ I'll put it more simply, unless Spurs beat Chelsea at Stamford bridge tonight Leicester are the Premier League Champions.

Five generations of the Ratae's have supported the Foxes, I was first taken to the old Filbert St. ground by my grandpa aged about seven. Now my eldest son and grandson are both season ticket holders. My eldest boy was taken to Filbert St. aged about seven by his grandpa (I was playing rugby). Both my dad and grandpa worked at Filbert St. Both stewards, my dad in the old 'centre stand' and my grandpa in the 'double decker' If they could only see their beloved Foxes now!

I didn't know he was a neighbour of mine. A well deserved slap IMO. Jailed former footballer Adam Johnson was beaten up in the prison showers after refusing to clean hair from a plughole and then asking a fellow convict ‘Do you know who I am?’, an inmate has claimed. Johnson, who was jailed for six years at Bradford Crown Court for grooming and sexual activity with a 15-year-old girl, was recently moved to Moorland prison in Doncaster from Frankland Jail in Durham so he could be closer to girlfriend Stacey Founders, 26, the mother of his year-old daughter. According to an inmate at Moorland, Johnson, who was cleaning the showers, was told by a fellow con to remove a clump of hair from a plug hole, to which Johnson replied ‘F*** off’ and then ‘Do you know who I am?’ thisisengland.org.uk/adam-johnson-attacked-in-prison-showers-after-saying-do-you-know-who-i-am/

According to other reports, nothing of the like happened. According to other reports, some of these criminals in prison are known to make things up and tell porkies. Some reports reckon that some newspapers don't really care if there's any truth to a story, they just like a story! Some reports say that I'm a cynical git that's long ago been sceptical of what I read in the press. Believe what yer want to believe, yer takes yer pick!

So anyway, I can randomly disclose that I have had a good couple of days. Yep yesterday, I had an appointment with the fizio at the LRI, he put me through my paces and declared that the range of movement for my new improved bionic shoulder is exceptionally good, especially considering the short time span involved. Now the fizio is concentrating on getting the strength of the smaller shoulder muscles built up and has given me some new exercises to do............ All looking good. This morning, my appointment was at the fracture clinic (out patients) with the surgeon who did my op. I was called into his insulting room where he was busy showing a student the X-Rays of my shoulder and explaining to her what he'd done to me. He asked me how everything was going, then he took a look at my shoulder, examined the scar and asked me to stand facing him. He told me to raise my arm as high as I could sideways, then to raise it as high as I could above my shoulder, then fold it behind my back. I stuck my arm high above my head and did the other stuff. He then said "That Mr Rats is the very best outcome I have seen for this particular procedure in a very long time"He turned to the student and said "Usually the best results for this procedure come with the very young or the very committed"To say I was pleased is an understatement. In fact the consultant was so impressed, he asked my permission to take piccies and a video of my arm movements for "Training purposes"....I naturally agreed. So, I have to go back in 3 months time, have X-Rays taken and see him again. He did say that I'll probably then get my demob papers. Yep...been a good couple of days.
