If you use a web browser, you get a heads-up somewhere at the top of the screen as I recall Peter. If you persist in using the disgracefully unsupported Proboards app because you paid for it to get rid of adverts, you don't. I'm grateful to Minxie for the birthday flags. Still and all, happy birthday Sir, and many more I hope.

Yes from memory they are John- that's what I said, but it doesn't in the Proboards Android app. I can't speak for TapaTalk because it's infested with advertisements and an ongoing subscription is required to bypass them which means one may as well use a browser for free and use an ad-blocker.
Proboards used to nag me whenever I gave up trying to view non displaying images, or threads that collapse to post headers because of the unsupported Proboards app. Happily that seems to have stopped (for now I guess?)
Having paid for it, I found this withering nagging insulting, and Proboards never once responded to any approaches regarding well overdue updates to the app.
If they'd refund my payment I'd shut up, but hell might indeed freeze over before that ever happens. It's just "up yours sonny" from Proboards. Here's how it goes; your one time revenue from the app has all been spent on fags, beers and whatever so watcha gonna do?Just write a new app that is subscription based and mothball the old one. Proboards hang your heads in shame. At least Dick Turpin wore a mask.
Sorry Peter, you deserve better than all this rubbish on your birthday Mate.
It may sound lazy, but I don't check The Forum on a browser each day for birthdays, G would beat me to it anyway.
