Sometimes I go on other ProBoards forums (I know........)
I've found that I can't set different passwords for each forum - if I do, then it changes for all of them ? Unless, I have to start using separate email addys, that is......
Has anyone else found this, or is it just me ? Am I missing something fundamental here ?

Matt I may be well off target here but I think it relates back to when the Proboards team introduced a global log in regime. I seem to recall it is /was related to being able to log into all your registered Proboards forums using your registered eMail addy and one password. From Proboards' perspective this must make account recovery far less complex? Before this there was individual user names associated with individual passwords. That would make sense but I find that I have to log in using individual forum user names with a global password which is a mash up of the two. This in turn may be related to the Android app that I have long endured / persevered with not being updated since before that change. I suspect that the old log in system may no longer be supported? They want us to be using the Tapatalk app with its clandestine advertisements made to masquerade as normal posts. There is indeed no such thing as a free lunch, but I paid for the Android app to be ad-free, so Proboards can sit on one and rotate before I ever consider falling for that short term money making scheme again.
