A forced "optional" update? Hmmm. I've ignored Adobe's representations to uninstall so far because I'm not clear whether it will prevent viewing any old .FLV clips or whether VLC can still play them for that matter. I suppose it is probably a security thing deep down so onwards and upwards then?
