Wasn't sure where else to put this (!), but this is a new one to me: www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/bluemail.htmlIt claims to be able to allow you to access all your various email accounts from one place (don't know if it works in this country, presumably so) ? Not sure whether there's any it can't handle. Does anyone else have any experience of this program ?

I've been using it on Android for several years. It's OK, in fact it's good and yes it does allow me to cover web based as well as pop3 or imap, but I still prefer K9 Mail for Android even though it has issues with (eg) gMail and the like. Perversely I use both on Android concurrently.
I heard someone on my local 2M VHF Sunday night groaners net saying that he'd starting using BlueMail for Windows, and although he seemed generally pleased, he's a country mile from being a Windows fiddler.

There was also Kaiten Mail (K10- geddit) which was a fork of K9, but the devs ceased work on it, and then too many security issues arose, so I went back again to K9. K9 has tons of configurability- perhaps too much for some. Its Android icon is that of Dr. Who's motowoofer- hence K9 John, although recent "upgrades" have junked that for a nondescript rubbish icon and the K9 devs ignored a cacophony of complaints just because they can. BlueMail has lots of configuration options too- you would expect that from an outfit making such bold claims of universal application, but objectively K9 is more powerful. It's also open sourced while BlueMail is proprietary. I think K9 is Android only though so irrelevant since I think you're considering i386? I haven't tried, seen nor used BlueMail on a PC, but if the Android version is anything to go by I'd say give it a go.
Me, I still use Qualcomm Eudora on the PC. I've used it since the turn of the millenium and W98 (not even "SE"). I got it free on a cover disc of a PC magazine. How many other eMail clients could boast that longevity? Many programmes can't even make the leap to W10 from W8.1, but Eudora just keeps on keeping on. I think Eudora was open sourced and became the Firefox eMail client? "Thunderbird" is it? I don't know TBH.

Something I forgot to mention regarding Bluemail; I went through an extended period of having to re-authorise my Google eMail accounts at each successive update. It was OK at the last update, but I now approach Bluemail updates with trepidation. It's not just the inconvenience, it's that each Google eMail account has a back up recovery eMail account, and the assault of "did you just try to access your account" and "an unknown device has just tried to access your account" eMails from Google with let's say four acccounts and a couple of physical devices is mind boggling. Keeping track requires focus.

I must say I have yet still to try BlueMail, but I have made a note in a book as a list of 'possible's.
