I didn;t think they built that many just shows you the speed in which we had to develop better aircraft to keep up with the enemy and it worked

Seen the 'flight' several times... First time was as a teenager at USAF Burtonwood during an openday. Sadly the place is now a housing estate and office's I believe there is an airbase in lincoln were you can 'taxi' in a Lancaster.. for a price of course! There are co-ordinates on Google earth where the Lancaster is caught flying.
Waddington air show soon.
