Sorry, I meant no signs of any apparent infection on this computer. My USB drive has the PortableApps platform on, and when you Check For Updates, it downloads it from http://www.portableapps.com (this is not an advert!) That's where I got it from: portableapps.com/apps/security/hijackthis-portableTo be honest though, I may just take that off and replace the programs I've got with ordinary portable versions where possible. There's not that many programs released in .paf format anyway.

Update: I've just tried the gifsoflove.com website from within the FF browser on this computer (I hardly use FF), and yes I got the same message as Clint. Obviously Mozilla/Firefox objects to it. Don't know whether any of this helps: support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/secure-website-certificate
