Hi Guys i am looking for advice in what i need is it an extender or booster? my son is up stairs an keeps "laggin" or disconnecting from his PS4 so i said we' get an booster but when i looked at www.currys.ie, www.argos.ie or www.harveynorman.ie it opens up a whole can of worms i have no idea what to get we have a concrete ceiling so not sure what to get. could yo guys offer any advice or recommendations please thanks guys for all help and advice

When the lad was here he used plug in extenders they use the house wiring. Something like this

I had problems like that a while ago, bought a booster it worked but had to use a different address, then we started to get router problems we contacted the supplier when the realised that the router we were using was near enough an antique, they sent us a new up to date router and the booster was no longer needed.
The solution posed by Nob will suffice, it is up to you what suits your needs, but if your router is old it may be worth contacting your ISP.

i already have these is it not possible buy the part without the part that connects to mains an to the router i already have one connect to mains and direct to router i need to extend to another room this what i bought previously www.argos.co.uk/product/6214467/
