Just to let any users of the above Forum know that it will close on Nov 30 2018
NOTICE OF FORUM CLOSURE
Dear Web User Forum members,
It is with great sadness and regret that I must inform you that this forum is now closed to new posts.
We’ve had a good run of more than 17-and-a-half years, but the popularity of online forums has significantly declined over the last few years, and it is now difficult to sustain keeping this one open.
I’d like to personally thank you all for the technical help, tips, feedback and off-topic entertainment you’ve provided over the years, and for your support of Web User. And special thanks to our volunteer moderators, for all their hard work.
You can still request and offer advice about web and PC problems, and give your feedback on the magazine, by emailing us at webuser@dennis.co.uk, and through our pages on Facebook and Twitter.
The forum will remain available in read-only format until 30 November, so you can access and save any previously posted content you require, after which it will be permanently taken offline. PMs also remain active for the time being.
Thank you again and I hope you continue to enjoy the magazine,

When I first read it this morning,I thought that they had the date mixed up,and it was April 1st. My second thought was "what has Glenda done now! " But my final conclusion is that Mad has bored them all to death! Hope that the survivors from Breast Cancer thread make it over here. I don't post on it ,but still do my clicks every day. |

Not guilty this time M'lud !!! I have to say that I'm disgusted by the way they've just closed everything down. At least when they closed the old place down they gave warning and time to allow members to exchange email addy's if they wanted to stay in touch. Whatever will the Welsh Witch do now  No more posts to add to her 52,104  At least I have the satisfaction of being able to freely post this on here without the fear of a reprimand from the Mods on WU. I'll suggest The Squatters to the friends I have from there, perhaps they may join the rush to the bar when last orders are called.  G. |
