Yes. It stopped scanning. There was no feedback, you have to scout around for a cause. Samsung hived off responsibility to HP. Couldn't find the updated driver on the HP sites. Finally I discovered that if you can track it down, the new driver nukes your chance of using anything other than Samsung toners, so I stuck with the old driver because it seemed less of a loss on the scanner than it would have been to lose the printer facility. In the end I decided when I can be bothered, I'll put the driver that came with the install disc on a Windows 7 box. What a sorry state of affairs when they cannot grasp that we don't need a square wheel? Queue Dave jumps in with the sniggering Muttley!

After taking it off for a while (to be certain), I reinstalled it yesterday, along with the other Patch Tuesday updates, after making sure docs & pics were backed up.
To be honest, I couldn't see if anything was amiss the first time and not everyone was affected by it anyway, but no, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong. I did though feel very nervy after seeing that story, and that's why I removed it as a precaution, in case it did any damage.

What I have noticed is Paste and print have changed when I right click and I have a calculator button on the keyboard and that opens a different calculator to the one before this is larger and much better with more functions.

Yes I misunderstood the post on another site and thought it was the re-issue of the 1809 update but after actually doing the update I realised my mistake. The amended update has only been issued to the "insiders".

This new update that's causing the problem, I said on the sight that I hadn't had any problems but
I just thought I would check System Restore and
On the Remote Tab it was turned onto Allow Remote. So I tuurned it off
All of the Drives had their protection turned off (Normally I have Drives C & D protection turned on)
So Create a Restore Point was turned off because all the Drive had their protection turned off
So I should just have a look at your System Restore just incase.
