A very frustrating few days. I wanted to use Windows Repair 4.0,and it was suggested it was best employed in Safe Mode.So I went there to be confronted by a sign in feature. Now I always sign in to M/S with a pin,but this would not do.So I tried what I thought was my password, but this was rejected.I contacted M/S on their account.live/reset password/ site (via my tablet),got the "code"on my 'phone, and put in a new password.I returned to my desktop and put in the agreed password to be greeted by "this password is incorrect" !.Did this 3 TIMES with no joy. I had no other option for getting out of Safe Mode but to reset my PC ! A nuisance in that I had to download a lot of my aps. There was nothing on the PC apart from a few photos and some joke videos which friends sent me. The irony is when I was signing on to my new M/S "deal",it would not accept my password, saying that this could be enabled later ! They did however accept my pin,so I was able to use the internet.Hence I am here now.Won't dare to go on Safe Mode again. How do I convince M/S to accept the password we created together ?

Windows repair is it for 10? Why do you want to repair it, could you not just restore?
I sign in using my Hotmail account and password.

I tried the restore feature, but it too failed to respond.I didn't have a flash drive nor a reset password disk. There you go. Water under the bridge....

Thanks,John, Ironically I don't need a repair now,coz the reset of the Pc did the trick ! Not only that but I lost M/S Edge after the last W10 update, and now it has come back. What I can't understand that each time I reset my password for M/S account,it was not recognised.Did this 3 times. To add to my misery, when I put in a previous password,M/S rejected it coz they said I'D had it before ! !.Yes I did but is was not recognised by M/S at the time
