Plans for free admission to public swimming pools for the over-60s are to be set out by Gordon Brown in a bid to encourage more people to take up sport ahead of the London Olympics. I hope you over 60s are going to jump at the chance.. ![>:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/angry.png)

they have closed 3 swimming baths in the sunderland area very recently , and opened a new aquatic centre ( big baths ) with it being 50mtrs long its used for olympic training etc . by all accounts its not available to the general public much . i think they section it off and let the peasants use about a quarter of it , thats what some were complaining about in the local paper anyway . when they let everyone one in for free , there will be nowhere to go get wet .
