Yep, Nige has resigned as the leader of UKip, the party he almost single handedly took from a fringe party that no-one took seriously, to a party that polled almost 4 million votes at the last election. Imo, it's without doubt that without Nige, this country would never have held this referendum, it was only due to UKip holding Cameron's feet to the fire that Cameron was forced to promise a referendum. Now of course we know that Nige was right all along, what Chesterton called "The Secret" people of England spoke and they agreed with Nige. Today is July 4th...independence day in the USA, very appropriate date for Nige to bow out. Whatever he decides to do, I wish him well and hope that he has a long and happy life, his place in the history of this country is assured. God bless you sir! " God's scorn for all men governing. It may be beer is best. But we are the people of England; and we have not spoken yet. Smile at us, pay us, pass us. But do not quite forget."

A sad day but the man will go down in history as the man with balls of steel taking on the pirates of Brussels. Good luck and God bless you Nigel.

He gave us our country back, the man did what he aimed to achieve. He is still going to watch for any backsliding in the negotiations.

Somehow I do not think that we have seen the last of him. Dinky for God's sake I hope you're wrong. The man set out on a mission, his mission has been fulfilled. Congrats nige but for God's sake the jobs done so don't hang around and make a fool of yourself.
