The UK is leaving the EU so whoever is at the helm will work to get the best deal possible so how can you see it any other way unless you somehow think we're not actually going to leave the EU?

He don't half make I larf, it's as if he's completely forgotten how his 'remainer' pal, Posh Dave, rocked up here waving his bit of paper telling us how he'd 'got the best deal possible' in his negotiations and that we should all vote to stay in. I'll tell yer what folks...it's a million that Theresa May's 'best deal possible' wouldn't be owt like Nige's 'best deal possible' if he was been PM!

As usual bestest friend sees things thru cracked glasses. Looking for deals before the referendum is a totally different ball game than looking for trading deals after we've just voted ourselves out. Cameron/May/Farage or whoever does not have to elimate benefit tourists or our sovereignty so it's 100% different from what Cameron was trying to achieve. In fact I think Cameron would be the UK's best negotiator of our new terms with the EU because he knows what we want and the peeps who can give it to us. Remember Cameron wanting to remain in the EU and not believing we would vote out will be a total different person at the negotiating table now that he's accepted we're leaving and is in my opinion the best person with the most experience to cut us a new deal. Don't forget the EU didn't think we'd vote to leave either. Ratarse what makes you think Farage would be a good negotiator? Remember he has no big stick to threaten the EU with now? This will not be a "if you don't do this I'll" type of negotiation it will be all bound by profit and loss terms and economists, accountants etc will be needed to convince both sides of the mutual advantage of proposed deals and the last thing needed is someone with a brass neck and an inability to compromise so we can strike nige of the list.

Cos Peter she wants to remain and was useless as home secretary, she couldn't kick terrorists out and now thinks Sharia law is good for Britain. That's why I don't want her negotiating. www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2016/jul/07/theresa-may-britain-tory-candidate

Bestest pal, I think you'll find that the real issue here is that anyone who disagrees with me can only be: (a) too old (b) too stupid (c) too Oirish or (d) all of the above. I am also declaring the Cameron years null and void. I think this is definitely a step forward in critical thinking and will make reality far more congenial to me. To be honest, I can't believe that I never thought of this before! Fixed

May if she gets in will more than likely agree to the free movement of citizens in the EU which is something we don't want and why we voted for the Brexit.

May if she gets in will more than likely agree to the free movement of citizens in the EU which is something we don't want and why we voted for the Brexit. JJ where have you seen or heard any indication that May wants to defy the British electorate and over ride it's decision. What she did or didn't do as Home Secretary when the UK was in the EU is irrelevant because the rule book has changed. When will all the leave voters ever accept that the UK is going to leave the EU and all the Government must, and will, work towards the UK getting the best deal going and the stubborn ones must just accept there's no going back. JJ if what I read in the Telegraph today is true May accepts the out decision and will work for Britain's new future outside the EU so what the hell more do you want from her?

The EU were mentioning that if we wanted to trade with any of the EU country's then we would have to agree with the freedom of movement through our borders, so we don't want her or anyone else agreeing to that.

Where have you been JJ? Thats been on the books for months but Switzerland and Norway managed to find a way round it. Just remember JJ the EU itself has a very brief future unless it changes so remember that the UK holds all the winning cards. Why can we leave voters not accept victory gracefully and stop looking for sabotage plots. The Government in general might not like it but they have accepted the will of the electorate. Why the hell are our drinkers so sceptical?

Keep it up Smudge, you make the rest of us look like geniuses. ] OK so the limited EU migration might only be temporary but that might outlast the present EU parliament or even outlast the present EU in the form it is now. ratarse when will you believe the EU in it's present form is doomed and worrying about it's future influence, as a federation, on the UK is a waste of time. Just make the EU deals then ban free movement. By the time the EU get that sorted out it will probably have imploded.

Well now, later on today I might slide over to the pub and while I'm in there I might bump into J.Lo standing at the bar supping a pint of 'Gerrit Ear' lager. She'll probably take one look at me and invite me to take her outside to the the carpark and give her a good old seeing to. Once the deed is done I'll probably go back into the bar and the head of the RFU might saunter over and he'll probably invite me to coach the England rugby team. I'll put me boots on!

That's it then, we have a winner by dirty tricks. Yep, and as a result, UKip will continue it's campaign. Any little sign of backsliding by V.May and the Kipper team will be all over them like a bad rash. 'Unintended consequences' ...
