This first time visit to Cyprus has even a shock to the system . Firstly we have t been abroad before with family . Then there is the heat almost 40 register on car two days ago. Today Fathers Day and it's off to Pathos. Being on Akrotiri RAF base and we hear, see almost touch aircraft as they are constantly up and down. The 2 hr time diffdnce is odd, using iPhone to surf is new, yes this is something else for us . Being with family is great though.

This first time visit to Cyprus has even a shock to the system . Have you never been on a Med holiday before? I've holidayed in Cyprus 3 times,1987, 1994. and 2000, twice Limasol and once Ayia Napa. Why does the 2 hour time difference play any significance? It is there but doesn't really change your daily routine when you arrive, I mean it is hardly Jet Lag or is it to you? How does that make a difference? I lived, of and on, boarding school and job placements etc., with my family for 33 years and love them dearly but couldn't wait to set up my own home. Is this unusual? I still luv my family but taking them holidaying or even visiting them, is a bit of old hat to me. E-mails mean there should be no surprises or don't you bother?

No, other than Mairitious for their wedding it has always bed. U.K. Hols. Actually the two hours difference is something we couldn't grasp in theirs the couple of days. We are finding the heat just a tad too much and causing my appliances to melt sooner than usual so it is good I brought sufficient hopefully. Having to carry emergency supplies everywhere knowing they too could melt is a problem. However fingers crossed.

I must admit Cyprus was one of my holiday spots where I definitely looked for shade frequently. We even found a private small beach with trees behind it. Perfect for cooling down without getting wet.
