Once we had settled living on the coast, we said "we won't need to go on holiday again". Now, over six years later, we are just 48 hrs away from a holiday abroad. This has been brought about due to our daughter being stationed in Cyprus.
This has meant my passport that had expired renewed. Hours spent seeking insurance with pre-existing conditions. Trawling airline prices. Working out rail times to airport. Deciding to only take cabin luggage. Forwarding medical supplies Ensuring both airlines will accept my wife's walking aid.
and now it's packing day, but before that, a quick look at the weather for Akrotiri, whoops in a few days it will be 35 degree's. OMG !.
A quick call to family regarding this and they said, "it's too hot for mosquitoes, so you will be alright", what use that is I don't know. Is it any wonder we are saying we are apprehensive about the whole thing.

Be thankful you are still here and can go on holidays. actually, you couldn't be more right. Instead of a fortnights medication I have a month, plus they're all in boxes to confirm they're mine, plus prescription print-out. Then there is the Emergency tabs in case my kidney causes hospital issues. So yes, as I frequently tell others when they moan about the weather here, I say " I bet those folk up the cemetery would like to feel it".
