Well after all I got to John Lewis at Peterborough and had a look around the Laptops and decicided to change my mind and instead of the ASUS I got a Lenovo here are the details.
Lenovo Z70-80 (80FG0035UK) Intel Core i7-5500U 2.4 GHz 16gb DDR3 Ram operating at 1,600 MHz 1Tb SATA HD NVidia GeForce 840M With Dedicated 4GB DDR3 RAM 64bit Windows 8.1 OS HD WEBCAM & Inbuilt Microphone Optical Drive DVDRW 17.3" Full HD LED Backlit Display Connectivity and networking options come in the form of Gigabit Ethernet port, WLAN, Bluetooth v4.0, two USB 2.0 ports, HDMI out, one USB 3.0 slot and digital media reader.
Warranty 3 yrs £519.00
The Original Price was £649.99 but after I ummed & arred about it the salesman said he could knock 20% off the price so I got it for £519.00 he didn't bother about the odd pennies.

Nice to get the extra screen real estate John, and TBH, I don't really see the advantage of having a Blueray reader on a lappie when I mainly watch .MP4 and .AVI movies. (whoops!)

I've always had NVidia Graphics so that helped sway it towards the Lenovo as I say I don't play games on it and it saved me money and it's got a bigger Memory & Screen size, so I'm pleased about getting it although it's still in the box.

Nice one JJ, I've always found J.Lewis good to deal with, I bought my Bose portable b/t mini speaker from there, my Asus tablet and the TV that I used to have. BTW...I'm guessing that that i7 processor has a turbo boost which ups the clock speed a tad. The i5 one in my Acer lappy turbos it up to 3GHz

I imagine it will have as the other i7 Processor on the ASUS did, but I haven't had it out of the box yet to check it.

Thanks Nob
Is that a Full version of W10 or a Beta version.
The reason why I ask is my cousin was showing me his new laptop a week or two back and his was W10 Beta
Thanks

It won't be a BETA version, i would imagine it's W 10 home. I've been running 10 for a few weeks and everything has been ok. If you upgrade to W 10 and you don't like it you have 30 days to roll back to W 8.
