How can I make INTERNET EXPLORER work. I am using windows 7+1 .
If I select IE. from the bottom of the screen all I get is a blank screen
with a small box telling me IE is not working and nothing else happens
Hope you can help

Was it working and have you tried resetting it or rolling back to an older IE, then updating it again. Have you tried a system restore to when it worked.

That's strange 'cos you need IE for windows updates. So, if you are still getting windows updates, then IE is working. I'm assuming that when you say "from the bottom of the screen" you are referring to the IE icon in the quick launch area of the taskbar. Try opening IE from your 'All Programs' menu, it may be that it's just the shortcut that isn't working!  |

Lets try again , I tried this last night then at the end I did something and lost the lot,
I will try to keep it short this time just in case .
Nob, Tried both your suggestions and got no satisfaction at all.
Ratae ,Not sure how to check if I am getting updates.
Yes to launch area on the task bar.
As for "all programs" menu that just tells me the page is "unavailable"
By the way I am running windows 8 not 7.

Nob Hi I think you've done it. In the vid you sent ,one part was click on the cog (top of screen on the right)
then select "internet options" then change the address in the big box using one of the 3 small box underneath then apply
