Due to blown light bulb in our kitchen, and whilst checking the RCD switches in my house I accidentally switched off the Sky Router/modem for a few seconds.
When I checked the Sky Hub Status page I found my download speed had gone up by about 1 MB per sec to this, Down Stream Connection Speed 17243.
I'm not complaining, just downloaded the latest Mint 17 v2 torrent at 1.6 MB per sec!

I remember reading somewhere, that all routers should be switched off and back on occasionally to allow them to reset to their optimum working capability. It was a long time ago when I read this, so I'm not dead sure that it still applies!  |
