Thought I would pass this message on from Anne's husband Jim Thanks for that post Jim and you have my condolences but 3 weeks ago I believe I was destined to be in your shoes. My wife was diagnosed as a lung cancer sufferer and our whole world took new perimeters. As far as I know there has been no prognosis, either that or she is not telling me but we both agree that as long as she is physically capable she'll keep cutting the grass, hoovering, dusting and keeping the place clean. I'll keep doing the shopping, except on weekdays, so really things will continue as normal. Joking apart I'm devastated because I love her dearly and our future appears limited.

Peter, Sorry to hear about your wife, it makes us realise how frail we all are. Lets hope the medical practitioners make her as comfortable as possible.

Thanks Jal and Dinky but at the present time physical discomfort isn't a problem and going on my late brother's experience of Lung cancer the pain only comes at the later stages so we are keeping our fingers crossed. I said that although no two cancer cases are exactly the same and all we can do is hope.

Peter, I am really sorry that you have had such bad news, I hope that you both can live for today and enjoy what you have.
This is a sad week in more ways than one, I PM`d fletch yesterday to say that my mother passed away after nursing her since January.
I really hope there is no more bad news coming from my cyber family, 3 is enough for this year.

More sad news, Peter I can't tell you how sorry we were to hear your news about your dear wife. Just try to stay strong for her. Thinking of you at this sad time. "What we have once enjoyed, we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes part of us." -Helen Keller - Glenda & Dave xxxxxxxxxxxx

I'm just catching up after a week away and am devastated to read this thread.
Firstly may I offer my sincerest condolences to Anne's family. As everyone has already said, she will be very sadly missed.
Secondly, to Peter, I'm so sorry to hear of your wife's illness. You'll both need the help and strength of each other. Look after her.
