Yep, sometimes you just fail to notice things. So....this lappy of mine which I keep upstairs in my office, I seem to use less and less these days, that's in spite of it being a cracking machine with top specs. In fact I only seem to use it for 'business' type stuff and when I need to print summat off, otherwise it's my little netbook downstairs, which is comfortable on my lap. My desktop is for films/sport etc. Anyway....for some time now when I've logged into my Yahoo mail account with this lappy, I've noticed that in my 'inbox' there's always an advert at the top of the list. Nothing nasty, holidays, hotels etc, but the thing is, unlike the other messages, there isn't a 'tickbox' or 'bin' icon option preceding them. Because of this, I've assumed that they are 'Yahoo' generated ads. But whatever....they annoyed the crap out of me! Earlier I was on my lappy and looking in my emails, yep there was an addie for some smelly perfume products for the ladies, and it occurred to me, that I hadn't noticed these ads when I opened my account using either the netbook or desktop. I scooted downstairs to check. Nope, no ads! Came back to the lappy ...... to have a a cup of tea and a thunk! That's when I noticed that my adblock plus was disabled for Yahoo mail on this machine. Enabled it....ads disappeared. Sometimes, things are so soddin obvious, that you just can't see them!

Is that cos you log online with FF and haven't set live mail for your mail account or don't use live mail? I have a 'hotmail account Nob, but it's a sort of 'reserve' account. Yahoo Mail always has been my main man!

Do you use live mail, you can add all you mail accounts and access them using that.

I use it all the time Dave, when I want to check my mail I click that and all the mail is downloaded to one place. Give it a try it will save you time pissing about with browsers and ad blockers.
