At long last I am having new windows fitted to my flat, double glazing no less. Been waiting since Jan 2013. So I am a happy puppy. Craig.

Why the wait? Must have been awkward not having any windows for all that time, was it draughty before? or was it just a bricked up room, like a cell?

The council houses near me all went to a housing association, the government calls them social housing.

Everything almost sorted, there's a part that needs to on the sides of the frame to cover the brick work, they had the stuff but it was the wrong size.
Not too much of a mess, will clean it up after they finish tomorrow. Getting a new combi boiler next week as the back boiler flue is letting sumes back in to the living room. It's blocked by all accounts.
Craig.

That boiler will save you money Craig. I'm assuming it is a condensating one.
