I have got filters on all telephone points.
How do I disconnect the bell wire i.e. which wire needs to be removed?
I have checked my internet options and SSL 2.0 wasn't ticked, but all the others [SSL 3.0 TLS 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2] were. This has improved my connection but not completely got rid of the gremlins, some pages will still not load and I have to use back button, and then go forward to get page to load. However thank you for the suggestion, it has definitely helped.

Update
I have just removed zonealarm and gone back to using windows firewall and it appears to have solved connection problems, at least at the moment, so I am hoping that my problems were all down to ZA.
