One is a Logitech, the other is a Rapoo, bought from Malaysia when my wife was there. Both work fine on the PC. There must be something stopping the install.

I would say you need to download the drivers for which ever one you want to use Bob

I don't think it's worth the £19 they want.

Thought it was free sorry Bob, do a repair install and see if that restores the inf file. Or Google missing USB inf file.

Would I need the CD for that?

Google missing USB inf file, there are some interesting replies to how you can replace it, you probably would need a disk if it found anything wrong.

I have just rebooted the lappy and gone into Recovery Manager to have a look and the mouse worked. There must be something stopping it when the lappy is on. It looks like a recovery.

Can't seem to get SP1 to install. It downloads starts to install and in less than a minute it says it has installed. I don't know why it is doing that.

Couldn't get Windows Update to install SP1, so I went to the MS site and downloaded the update then installed it.
