Unrelated to the manual, but must ask, on my laptop, I used to use avast free, but now the paid for version. What would be required on ipad? None at all. I asked this question when my wife had an iPad for Christmas. Have a read at ipad.about.com/od/iPad-FAQ/f/Is-There-An-iPad-Virus.htm  |

Don't forget to access ipad via itunes, where you can backup and restore from your PC. I do that for my Son's ipad air. Kings3
