I use an Acer Aspire 9420 at home and always have it connected to the mains, and a wifi keyboard and mouse. About a year ago, I bought an 8" Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 (Curry's) which I use a lot and it serves it's purpose. What I aim to do, with your help, is to clear it down to how it was when bought because today I have bought an ipad, this model:- www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/8140003.htm#pdpFullProductInformationUnsure what to do first, whether to try and set the ipad up or concentrate on clearing the galaxy in readiness to take to Cash Converters along with a few other things. Eitherway, would someone please advise me how to go about clearing the galaxy?

A factory reset will clear off anything you have downloaded and take it back to the default state you bought it(as Annes post to a video tutorial)

Well bugger me!. I have just sat an one by one removed the apps (free one's) I'd installed, then I went through address book and removed bits & pieces from there, then it was off to diary and this had been synced to laptop so it contained such a lot of things, and I sat and removed a years worth, day by day, then decided enough was enough and removed the diary. At this stage I'm far from convinced everything has gone, but, now you've said restore to factory settings, I will endevour to do that, so now I will view Anne's tutorial and report back.
PS. I did it! hooflippinray!. Thanks Anne, very much. I'm so pleased you've joined this pub/club. Now all I have to do, is dig out the box etc, give it a little buffing up, charge it up and prepare to take it along with the receipt as proof it's mine, to see how much they offer.Maybe in the morning I will look on ebay to see how much these are going for.
As for the ipad, it hasn't been opened yet, I'm dying to but feel it will wait till tomorrow. I hope it's easy. Thanks again Anne
