Couldn't see another forum to post this in so please excuse me for invading the Tips and Tweaks. My daughter has just said that she cant connect to the net and I dont even know where to start or indeed there is a help facility here at the Squatters. Is there? And if so, what info do I need?

Right then buddy, now that I've moved your post here, a little more info may prove helpful.
1/ Assuming that it's a 'windows' lappy, which o/s is it running. XP,W7/W8 etc?
2/ How is your daughter trying to connect to t'internet, wi-fi/hard wired or with mobile b/b
3/ If wi-fi, does the lappy have built in w/less or is she using a w/less dongle.
Any other relevant info would be good.

As fletch sez. However, if she can't see a w/less icon in the taskbar, right click an empty space in the taskbar, click 'Properties' ..click 'Customise' tab for the notification area and scroll down to 'Network'
In the 'Network' drop down list, click on 'show icon and notifications. Then 'ok' out.

Sometimes the android tabbys that the missus and kids have do not see our hub. Usually a reboot of the hub cures it, then they pick up the hub, occasionaly my phone needs the same solution.
