Having just put to software/web sites in the wrong thread, thought I'd better do it properly now I've found this area to post them. Drones? any idea what they are ?. I didn't until a month or so ago. If not, think remote controlled cars, but substitute car for helicopter with video camera. These things are becoming more and more popular and users are making their footage available for everyone to see on youtube and now there are websites especially for drone owners to download their films. What I am fascinated by, is the fact that these drones show you a view probably never seen before. Because it's been years since we went to Blackpool, I was interested to see how the new prom looked. The drone was perfect. You might like to find your way round either of these websites. www.dronestagr.am/travelbydrone.com/this is the Blackpool film travelbydrone.com/play/30

another satisfied customer me thinks. Will sort you something else out later. Drones in the wrong hands could be very invasive. gone are the days of naked sunbathing in your well fenced back garden because some digital maestro pervert sees a well tanned looker up the town and decides to find out their home address to see is it an all-over tan. Teenage gropes in the back seats of cars could be threatened by the buzz of drones. There's too many illegal uses for drones with cameras so I say ban them now before we have a swarm of them buzzing around causing all sorts of distress.

Earlier this year I was sat on my balcony with a G&T watching the world go by, when a young couple caught my attention. They had what I now know to be a "Parrot" drone and an R/C console. Fascinating device and so many useful applications where it could be invaluable....or a pest! Standing by the sea wall, they launched their drone guiding it to an adjacent hotel where it ascended quickly to the 9th floor, hovering within 6ft of the balcony rail evidently it found little of interest there 'cos it then shot out into the bay and hovered around one of the private yachts moored there...for quite a while! If I had such a high value piece of kit, I would be too scared to send it nearly half a mile out to sea for fear of some catastrophe befalling it! The guys who own these big plastic boats seem to like their privacy and would probably get their Purdy's out for a bit of target practice! Parrot owners also have another worry on the horizon,....piracy. Apparently hackers have developed software to take control of their baby, and hijack it!
