Hi Everybody Guess what I am in trouble again. When I came to use my new shiny web cam It told me I had a big fault (I think it said it was "rvc lib_proxy.dll"and that I must do a disk check { See what's coming}It said to do a CHK DSK ,can I do this ? I did a bit of looking around and every one wanted mega bucks to do it for me. After I got deep in their test they tell me this. All help welcome Mike

You need to open a command prompt: go to a <run> dialogue box and type <cmd> then in the console, type C:\chkdsk.exe /f /u. In fact you would do well to google and find out which of the switches you need (the /letter(s)) but simply typing chkdsk /? should suffice. Don't forget the syntax. (spaces)
If your disk is other than C: change the path accordingly.
Chkdsk is not the panacea for all PC ills!

Mike is the webcam suitable for your version of windows? How did you install the software and drivers? Like Jo says start button in the box type CHKDSK when it shows right click and run as administrator. But why it wants to run that.
