So, I wake up this morning (good start), come downstairs for a spot of brecky, look outside and it's a beautiful summer's day with not a cloud in the sky, and all is good with my world.
From then on...it's downhill all the way!
I check the calendar, it's the eighth anniversary of my dear old Ma passing away, so I shall get some flowers and take them to the local remembrance garden, and sit for a while.
I also have a doctors appointment for a blood test, 'cos I'm on a new blood pressure tablet.
But first I have to scoff my porridge. I turn on the news, two items are dominating everything, the tragic Malaysian airliner affair and the ongoing tragedy in the West Bank.
I listen to the bollox spouted out from our
'oh so blameless' politicians and my mood darkens further. It's the rank hypocrisy of it all that pisses me off, they expect everyone to assume that none of this is the fault of the West, it's either that mad bastard Putin or those muzzie Palestinian terrorists that are to blame.

Firstly...that airliner, almost certainly bought down with an ground to air missile, supplied by Russia to the Ukranian seperatists.
Well, for a start this ain't the first time that a civilian airliner has been wrongly identified and shot down is it?....... Nope!.....the US Navy did exactly the same thing with an Iranian one some years ago, and I think there have been others!
And what about yer man Putin, he's copping it for supplying these seperatists with the weapons. Well.....remind me folks who it was that only recently wanted tho supply those nice Syrian seperatists with similar weapons...until a vote in parliament put a stop to it that is. Naturally, since those nice Syrian freedom fighters turned out to actually be ISIS nutters that even Al Queada have disowned, this isn't mentioned anymore.
Also, let's not forget how all this started. All was peaceful in the Ukraine until those EU dickheads started blowing kisses to them, and offering them trade deals in preparation of them applying for EU membership. IOW...poking a stick in the Russian bears cage.
IMO...this is similar to as if Kruschev or one of those other cold war Rooskies, had started giving the 'come on' to Mexico back in the days.
Nope, no Russian leader is gonna sit still and let Nato countries sit on his garden wall, and especially one as smart and patriotic as Putin!
Now my rant turns to Palestine. I know that this might not be a popular view, due to the Palestinians being muzzies and all, but 'cos my view isn't popular, it doesn't mean that it's wrong!
Palestine itself....the very name implies that it's the land of the Palestinians dunnit, it is not called Jewstania is it?
Now...how many of you remember your modern history lessons from school, well I don't remember much of it but some parts I do remember.
The Balfour agreement, made near the end of the first world war by the British foreign secretary. This was when we shamefully promised the british and Yank Jews, in exchange for their financial support, a homeland of their own ..... in Palestine.
Of course, what we didn't tell them, was that the same promise had been made to the Arabs in exchange for them revolting against their Turkish masters, who were allies of the Germans. (remember Lawrence of Arabia)
It all went tits up from there on....and it's basically OUR fault!
So...as if all of that isn't bad enough, I arrive home just in time to see our cricket team humiliated by the Indians, and looking every bit as crap as our England footy heroes!
