Thanks everyone,much appreciated.
Been 'Skyping'my son and have seen photo's of the new arrival. My D.I.L will be in hospital till Sunday/Monday due to her have a C section but they are both well and are now seriously thinking of returning permanently to the UK next summer.I'm not getting too excited yet as they have been saying this for quite some time but as they now have a baby to consider they feel they need to get get amongst family and friends asap.He said that we as grandparents need to be able to see and be in contact with our grandchild and also visa versa.
By the way that Skype gobbles up the bandwith..nearly 1GB at a time for around 45 minutes or so chatting..

I told him to start saving for grandads 'beer fund' Congrats Phil but as long as they're in Hong Kong the beer fund won't be needed. If they come home it'll be nice, you'll see more of you grandchild but 5 years down the line you'll maybe start to wonder why your life has changed back into the olden times when your first priority was looking after children. Phil I hope I'm wrong because I love my grand children very much but "looking after" ie child minding, a 13 year old grand daughter who wants to act like a 16 year old becomes tiresome when her mother doesn't see that as a problem and won't be told. PS Someday we might even get her expenses covered but I wouldn't bet on it. Payment for the service is out of the question. By the way I love my grand daughter dearly but not the way my daughter is introducing her to the grown up world. I'm sure I'm not the 1st grand parent to make that complaint and won't be the last.
