What do I use to convert the mp4 video to something my telly supports like AVI. I thought that one of those Xilisoft progs that we both have would do it. I'll have a look on my lappy. Edit....yep Xilisoft video converter ultimate is one of those programs, and that will o it.

Xilisoft video converter ultimate Aint got that one, Ill have to shop for it. The lappy has lost connection to the internet the wireless adaptor has stopped, restoring from the image I made last year on the Seagate drive, see if that sorts it. Ive tried everything else. That's sorted it. Dunnow what happened there. It came up with a blue screen on startup and windows needed repairing, did all that still no wireless adaptor working. All ok now. Handy bit of kit the backup and restore feature in 7.

Right I downloaded, Leawo Total media converter ultimate. That converts them to any format. Tried AVI they came out as 31Gb from 288Mb Then converted to Xvid they came out at just over 300Mb, tried on the telly and they work. I can watch Homicide Hunter series 1 and 2 now, got liking series 3 that's on now. Happy days.
