Ended up getting the Nokia lumia 630 with the quad core processor I'm now trying to get my head round windows 8.1. Its all tiles and sub menus. As the Android pushed Google this pushes Microsoft stuff at every turn. Have you thought about getting a phone, they are good for making calls and you can send txt messages with them? Snigger

Phone calls are things of the past. nob you obviously have never meet my wife. I've got a 24/7 free call plan to landlines and unlimited broad access and we use our 24/7 freephone connection. Nob it just begs the question what do you use instead of a PHONE to make PHONE calls? where you are actually speaking to peeps

The mobile is for emergencies now it's PAYG. What I found with this mobile with it being windows, I signed into my Hotmail account and my contacts and calendar entries are now on the phone. I'm glad I don't put confidential stuff on the computer.

nob you obviously have never meet my wife. If you are talking about the first Mrs Smyth, her of blessed memory who mysteriously disappeared from the face of the earth, then it's unlikely that Nob or anyone else will ever meet her innit. Pfttt...it's my understanding that the Garda are very keen to meet her, that's why they have dug up your patio and garden I believe!

I found out tother day the Microsoft own Nokia that would explain why windows is on Nokia phones and Android is being taken off new Nokia phones.
I'm impressed with the way this phone communicates with my PC through live mail. Anything I put on the PC calender is sent to the phone and vice versa all mail contacts were automatically sent to the phone from the computer also.
You can send pics and notes to the phone and back, really impressed with the set up something I couldn't do with the android phone.

Seen that before Phil, handy app. This windows uses a cloud thingy to send to PC and from pc to phone. But I suppose sending to an android you would need summit like that app.

I had a Windows phone, bought in 2011. I loved the phone (nokia) but got frustrated with the lack of apps available and binned it off in favour of android and the HTC one, I haven't regretted it.
The Windows phone itself was awesome, just let down by the market.

My sentiments exactly.I can't believe how far behind the Windows phone app market lags behind Android and iOS.The windows phones(mainly Nokia) are really well built but let down by the wide choice of apps that the other big 2 have.

They seem to charge for apps that are free elsewhere too...
I haven't regretted the move to Android.
