Bloody hell that's a big difference. Too many addons in FF. Yep, I was reading something about browsers and Linux that made me check. Apparently the FF addons run within the browser, so the more addons the more it affects it. Not so in Chromium, the Chromium addons run outside the browser so do not affect the speed. On the other hand, the article also sez that when it comes to customising the browsers, nothing is in the same class as FF. It's a 'trade off' really. I find that in my more powerful laptop and desktop machines, the download speed is even faster than in my Linux netbook, that's why I use FF on those machines. Interesting though!
