Hi all MBAM finds the same PUP every day on its scan. A reg key. It's a DLL thats got itself in Background containers. It's a 'puter re-start every time so I need get it sorted. Does anyone know if Background containers is something that has to start running at Start up. I've looked in Start up and it's there checked. I've tried unchecking but it checks itself again Thanks for any help fellas

Looking at that link Ratae, it's for removing a message what keeps popping up. I'm not getting any message, infact I wouldn't know there was anything amiss if it weren't for MBAM. I've sussed it Start up where this problem is. It's in the Registry in the Background container like I said previously. After running Regedit in Start, it shows as 'Reg SZ (value not set)' I ran Regcure Pro which is supposed to sort out probs in the Registry, but it's still lurking. I could click Ignore in MBAM scan as I can't see it causing a problem to 'puter. But I'd like to know if I can get rid. BTW that Regcure Pro removed everthing passwords the lot, sod.

Arch,PUP is an acronym for 'potentially unwanted program' which doesn't necessarily mean that it's harmful. Might be more trouble than it's worth removing it if it isn't causing you any trouble!
