Hi gang, for the last 2 days my standard TalkTalk broadband connection speed has doubled www.speedtest.net/my-result/3147964059 13.46 mbps - 0.72 mbps My average speed up to yesterday was 6.5 mbps on the above tester. Has any other TalKTalk user noticed any improvement in speed?

Seems that a few providers are increasing their bandwidth. Virgin b/b are telling me ('cos I'se a diamond) > I especially like the "no extra monthly cost" bit, although as I'm getting www.speedtest.net/my-result/3148245476 now, I doubt if I'll notice any difference in d/load speed. So Smudger, possibly that crappy Talk the Talk provider of yours are just trying to compete!

Mine hasn't but then again the exchange isn't fibre equipped till 2015. Nob mine is a standard, non fibre, connection like yours. According to TalkTalk I'm 0.8 miles away from the exchange but it is only about 500 yards walking distance away so there's lots of wiring involved somewhere. Nob go to Talk Talk's My Account page and on the right hand side scroll down to Problem with Your Service then click Report and Repair. That'll eventually bring up a page telling you how fast your connection is and how far your exchange is from your puter etc.
