Hi everyone.
I've been thinking seeing as I'll be having dialysis next year, it might be time for me to buy an e-reader instead of lugging books around with me when I'm sat in hospital.
Can anyone suggest a good e-reader for less then £100?
I don't want one of those all singing, all dancing things that connect to the net or you can watch video clips on and things like that.
Thanks for any suggestions.
Craig.

I got the Mrs a kindle paperwhite last Christmas Craig, she never fancied one but now loves it. She has well over 200 books on it. I bought it from tesco and got a case from Amazon.

I've had a kindle, the original one, for three years and have been totally satisfied with it. My husband scoffed at my penchant for gadgets but when I showed him how he could adjust the print to suit his eyes, he had to have one too. I occasionally buy books for it, if it's something I particularly want, but mostly I get them off discs bought very cheaply on e bay, usually about 17,000 for less than a fiver, Will see me out I think

I have no hankering for one myself, but if I was in your position Craigy (and with your money) ...I would deffo buy one. BTW...don't they have wi-fi in that dialysis clinic that you're going to? 'Cos if they don't, they should have!

I've ordered a Kindle from Studio for £80 incl free post & packaging. Craig.

Bought a 3G version for the missus and was so glad I did. Wireless network is all manual here, allocated IP numbers and stipulated mac addresses with no dhcp. Kindle absolutely refused to play ball with this set up. Upshot was that network remains locked up tighter than a duck's jacksie in a cold pond and Kindle draws it's substance over the 3G. This has been great when on holiday to grab a new book for her, although in Cumbria and Cornwall where we normally chill out, it usually involves a short drive to a 3G catchment. Too late for you Craig, and I know that my reasoning wouldn't sway your choice, but I can safely say that you're going to get on great with your eReader- provided it's up to the Kindle standard that is. +1 for Anne's suggestion about the DVDs crammed with books too. Hope the dialysis goes OK.
