A long, long time ago, when I worked  if ever I needed any 'bulbs' replacing in our display panels, I'd ring my senior tech and ask him 'to come up and replace some bulbs'. The response was always the same, a longish pause (while he composed himself)then he'd say 'they're lamps . . . . . bulbs are what you plant in your garden'. I loved winding him up. |

Pfffttt...a likely story that is!  Nearer the truth would be to admit, that you ORDERED him to get his arse over PDQ and replace them, or he'd be getting his P45 in the next days post. After all, that's how company chief execs roll innit!  |
